“Everyone has started off in the same position as you.”
Growing up as a track runner and part of a competitive cheerleading squad, fitness was always naturally a part of Alex’s routine. As an adult, Alex replaced sports teams with the gym and fell in love with weights.
Alex knew she wanted a career in something she was passionate about, and with health and fitness being a top priority in her life, becoming a personal trainer aligned with her values perfectly. Her favourite part of being a trainer is helping someone build the skills and confidence in themselves to venture past the treadmills and performing movement they never thought they could.
For those who are unsure of where to start, Alex gives a gentle reminder that everyone started off in the same position as you, not knowing what to do, or how to use equipment. She says that by learning the basics off someone you connect with and who knows what to do can save you years of slow progression in the gym.
Alex’s training style is predominantly focused on fundamental strength based training. She also concentrates on technique and teaching beginners how to easily accomplish more technical movements.
When enjoying her down-time, Alex likes to watch movies, read a book and spend some quality time with her partner.

Tuna, avo, rice and an egg – basic, but it’s my go-to lunch!
