Crystal grew up frequenting the gym with her Dad and began Olympic weightlifting at a young age. After going through a period of avoiding the gym in fear it would make her appear ‘too bulky’, she has since grown to love her strong body, and has never felt as strong and confident as she does now. As a trainer she strives to help other young girls also develop a positive gym experience and not be afraid to try new things. What Crystal most loves about being a trainer is seeing her clients light up when they reach a new achievement.
For those just starting their fitness journey, Crystal’s advice is to start with the best mindset possible and avoid training with the specific goal to change your body. She recommends finding training styles that you enjoy so that at the end of the day you feel fulfilled.
Crystal likes to focus her training on compound lifts, so that her clients can learn fundamental movements, and become as strong as possible before moving onto more tailored training styles based on her clients’ goals.
When not at the gym, you’ll find Crystal enjoying the art of making a good cup of coffee!
