“Don’t overthink it.”
Since he could walk, Ivan was kicking the soccer ball around and didn’t stop until making it to a semi-professional level. After leaving soccer, Ivan began going to the gym and doing weight training to keep up his fitness. As a trainer, his favourite part of the job is seeing his clients learn, level up, and get hooked on having fitness as part of their lifestyle.
To those who are just beginning their fitness journey, Ivan says not to overthink it. He recommends avoiding articles about ‘the fastest way to get results’ and lose the idea that there is a quick fix. He says to focus on finding what you like and making it a part of your lifestyle for long lasting changes.
Ivan’s training style is constantly evolving, but always focuses on feeling healthy, strong and functional. He loves training for strength but at the same time ensuring that the benefits are versatile and applicable to other training his clients may be doing.
Ivan’s hobbies outside of the gym involve watching movies, gaming, and spending plenty of time with his nearest and dearest.
