Matthew’s first introduction to fitness was through Martial Arts, where he attained his Black Belt in Taekwondo before deciding to learn more about strength and conditioning. Matthew is passionate about helping others better themselves, and believes that fitness and martial arts is the ultimate way to better yourself in life.
For those ready to level up in their lives, Matthew’s advice is to do anything you can to move. Find something that you enjoy doing and fall head over heels with that, which will keep you motivated to continue practicing and learning.
Matthew’s fitness orientation is styled towards powerlifting with squats, bench and deadlifts. He also incorporates mobilisation techniques, injury prevention exercises, conditioning for sport and tailored exercises to match sport specific training.
Matthew’s hobbies outside of the gym include Brazilian Jujitsu, snorkelling, underwater photography in the ocean and watching anything Marvel.
