Like the typical Aussie kid, Mitch played a bunch of team sports growing up. It was after attempting to crack into the playing roster for State basketball as a featherweight 17 year old, that he discovered weightlifting. His experience as a Rifleman in the Australian Defence Force piqued his interest and desire for discovering various forms of training, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and ultra marathon running.
After completing his Nursing Degree, and seeing some of the long-term effects of inactivity and preventable chronic health conditions, Mitch was heavily influenced towards personal training. He now aims to help keep people out of the healthcare system by getting them moving pain-free, ensuring they are living with control of their own health, and operating with confidence not only in the gym but everywhere in life.
For those new to the gym, Mitch recommends just starting! Be patient with yourself and be consistent in your approach. The rest will take care of itself.
Mitch focuses his training on the individual goals of his clients, wherever they’re at in their fitness journeys. Whether that is helping rehabilitate with pain-free movement, assisting high functioning athletes optimise their sporting performance, or helping clients to reach their weight loss goals.
When he’s not training his clients, Mitch loves trail running, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and playing board games with anyone who will indulge him.
