“Small habits add up quickly.”
Norm began going to the gym after suffering an injury when he was a soccer player and needed to complete rehabilitation exercises at the gym. During this stint, he fell in love with the process of healing and bettering the human body. As a trainer, Norm’s favourite part of the job is helping to improve someone’s quality of life beyond exercise, whether that is enabling his clients to keep up with their grandkids or allowing them to fit their wedding ring on for the first time in years.
The biggest piece of advice that Norm can offer to those kickstarting their fitness journey is that small habits quickly add up and there's no need to flip your entire life upside down just to get in shape. If you find a plan that compliments your lifestyle, you’ve won half the battle.
Norm’s training style is resistance-focused to target muscle groups and increase strength, which will then have a positive flow-on affect to all other areas of your life.
Outside of the gym, Norm is a coffee connoisseur (testing out a new café every weekend) and an avid sneaker collector. He is also passionate about learning and reading biographies of leaders that inspire him.
